Design Thinking for 80 museum professionals
Thanks to the Institute for Cultural Heritage in Bologna and ICOM Italy we were able to deliver two intense Design Thinking training sessions to over 80 museum professionals, coming from a variety of museums, both big and small.
By using empathy techniques and digital prototyping the participants, organised in smaller teams, were able to design and test various concepts of digital applications for their museums.
Design Thinking is usually applied by big organisations, but in our experience it is very suitable for small museums as well. It is easier in small museums to establish the direct relationship with the visitor, something that is essential for the "empathy" phase of Design Thinking. Prototyping can save mistakes that are much more damaging for shoestring budgets. You can read more about our Design Thinking approach and why it could be suitable for your organisation on our Training page.
